Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") govern your membership of the Product Bakery community. Please read them together with our Community Guidelines and our Privacy Policy, which form part of these Terms.

1. Provider and scope

Provider and your contractual partner is:
Christian Strunk
Leopoldstraße 3A
10317 Berlin, Germany
Email: [email protected]

These Terms apply to every membership and purchase concluded through product-bakery.com. We do not accept differing terms of the customer unless we have agreed to them in writing.

2. Definitions

  • Consumer means any natural person who enters into the contract for a purpose that is mainly outside their trade, business, or profession (Section 13 German Civil Code, BGB).
  • Business (entrepreneur) means a natural or legal person acting in the exercise of their trade, business, or profession (Section 14 BGB). You are treated as a Business only if you provide a valid VAT identification number at checkout.
  • Member means a person who has purchased one of the plans described below.
  • Session means a live online community session (the Friday "bake").
  • Library means the member area containing session transcripts, blueprints, digests, and related materials.

3. What we provide

The Product Bakery is a paid online community in which members plan and improve real products together with the host and the group. Depending on the plan, your membership includes access to the live Sessions, to the Library, and to the materials produced in the Sessions.

  • Sessions are held regularly, typically once a week on Fridays. We do not guarantee a Session on every single Friday.
  • We may reschedule or cancel an individual Session at short notice, for example in case of illness or other good cause. Where reasonable, we will offer a replacement Session or extend access. A single cancelled Session does not entitle you to a refund, because the membership is not priced per Session.
  • For longer planned breaks (for example holidays), we will, for active subscriptions, pause billing or shift the renewal date so that you are not charged for periods in which no Sessions take place.
  • We do not record video or audio of Sessions. We keep a written transcript, which becomes part of the Library.
  • The agenda is set by the community voting system. There is no guaranteed spotlight for any particular idea, and sign-up order does not create a right to be featured.

4. Plans and prices

All prices are shown to consumers as gross prices including statutory VAT. Businesses that provide a valid VAT identification number are invoiced net under the reverse-charge procedure where applicable; the final price is shown at checkout.

  • Try one bake – €29 (one-time): attendance at one specified Friday Session, participation in the voting for that Session, and the files of that Session. The full Library is not included.
  • Monthly – €59 (monthly subscription): full access to all Sessions and the complete Library for the running month. Renews automatically each month until cancelled.
  • 3-month pass – €139 (one-time): the same full access for three months. This is a one-time payment that expires automatically after three months and does not renew.

5. Conclusion of the contract

The presentation of the plans on our website is not a binding offer but an invitation to you to make an offer. You make a binding offer by selecting a plan, confirming the required checkboxes, and completing payment through our payment provider. The contract is concluded when we accept your offer, at the latest when we grant you access to the member area or send you an order confirmation.

6. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to join. Membership is personal and non-transferable. The access belongs to the person who purchased it and may not be shared with or passed to anyone else.

7. Payment

Payment is processed by our payment provider Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd.). Available payment methods include credit and debit card, Apple Pay, and PayPal. Payment for the Monthly plan is due in advance for each billing period. Payment for the one-time plans (Try one bake, 3-month pass) is due immediately on purchase. For the Monthly plan we send a renewal reminder before each renewal date.

8. Term, renewal, and cancellation

  • Monthly plan: runs for one month and renews automatically for further months until cancelled. You may cancel at any time with effect from the end of the current paid month, without notice period. Cancellation takes effect for the next billing period and stops further charges.
  • 3-month pass: ends automatically after three months. No cancellation is required and it does not renew.
  • Try one bake: is a one-time booking for a specified Session and ends after that Session.
  • How to cancel: you can cancel online at any time through your account or through the cancellation function provided on our website (the statutory cancellation button under Section 312k BGB), or by sending us a clear statement to [email protected].

9. Right of withdrawal for consumers

Withdrawal instructions

Right of withdrawal. You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Christian Strunk, Leopoldstraße 3A, 10317 Berlin, Germany, email [email protected]) of your decision to withdraw by a clear statement (for example a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal. If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed of your withdrawal. We will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise; in no event will you be charged any fees for this reimbursement.

Early start of services. If you requested that the services begin during the withdrawal period, you must pay us a reasonable amount corresponding to the proportion of the services already provided up to the moment you inform us of your withdrawal, compared with the full scope of the contract.

Early expiry of the right of withdrawal for digital content. Your right of withdrawal expires in the case of digital content not supplied on a physical medium (for example access to the Library) if you have expressly consented that we begin performance before the end of the withdrawal period, and you have confirmed that you are aware that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal, and we have provided the confirmation required by law. You give this consent and confirmation through the dedicated checkbox at checkout.

Exception for the single dated Session. The "Try one bake" plan is a service for leisure activities that is provided on a specific date. Under Section 312g(2) no. 9 BGB there is no right of withdrawal for this plan.

Ordered on (*) / received on (*):
Name of consumer(s):
Address of consumer(s):
Signature of consumer(s) (only if this form is notified on paper):

10. Refunds

Except where you have a statutory right of withdrawal (Section 9) or other mandatory statutory rights, payments are non-refundable. In particular, there is no refund for the current paid period if you cancel, and no refund if you miss a Session. We may, at our sole discretion and without creating any obligation, grant a voluntary goodwill refund in individual hardship cases.

11. Member obligations and conduct

Your conduct as a member is governed by our Community Guidelines, which form a binding part of these Terms. In particular:

  • A working camera and microphone are required to take part in a Session.
  • What is shared in the room is confidential. You must not record, film, or screenshot Sessions, and you must not disclose or misuse what other members share.
  • You must treat other members with respect and must not use the community to spam, sell to, or poach other members.

12. Intellectual property and confidentiality

  • Your product stays yours. Nothing shared in the community transfers ownership of your product or ideas. Feedback given in the room is offered freely and creates no ownership claim and no obligation in either direction.
  • Library materials (transcripts, blueprints, digests) are licensed to you for your personal use as a member only. You may not reshare, repost, resell, or publish them outside the community, in whole or in part.
  • The confidentiality duties in the Community Guidelines continue to apply after your membership ends.

13. Suspension and removal

We may warn you for minor breaches of these Terms or the Community Guidelines. For serious breaches, in particular a breach of confidentiality, harassment, or deliberately damaging the group or its members, we may remove you from the community immediately and without a refund. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

14. Availability and force majeure

We are not liable for the temporary unavailability of the Sessions or the Library due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (for example outages of third-party services such as the video platform, illness, or other events of force majeure). Section 3 governs rescheduling, cancellation, and billing pauses.

15. Changes to these Terms and to prices

We may amend these Terms or adjust the prices of ongoing subscriptions for valid reasons, for example changes in our costs or in the law. We will notify you of material changes in text form at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you may cancel your subscription before the changes take effect. If you do not cancel and continue to use the membership after the changes take effect, this counts as your agreement. We will point out this consequence in the notification.

16. Liability

We are liable without limitation for damages arising from intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body, or health, under the German Product Liability Act, where we have given a guarantee, and where liability is otherwise mandatory by law.

For slight negligence, we are liable only for the breach of a material contractual obligation (an obligation whose fulfilment is essential to the proper performance of the contract and on whose observance you may regularly rely). In that case our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Any further liability is excluded. These limitations also apply to the personal liability of our employees, representatives, and vicarious agents.

No professional advice, no guaranteed results. The community and all contributions, feedback, tips, and materials are intended as peer exchange and general information only. They do not constitute professional, legal, financial, tax, or investment advice, and no advisory or client relationship is created. We do not guarantee any particular result, commercial success, or outcome for your product. You make your own decisions and act on your own responsibility.

17. Data protection

We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains, among other things, how we handle Session transcription and the third-party services we use.

18. Consumer dispute resolution

We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle) within the meaning of the German Act on Alternative Dispute Resolution in Consumer Matters (VSBG).

19. Final provisions

  • Governing law. German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence.
  • Place of jurisdiction. If you are a merchant, a legal person under public law, or a special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Berlin. Statutory jurisdiction rules apply to consumers.
  • Provisions for businesses. The right of withdrawal in Section 9 applies to consumers only. Businesses are invoiced net under the reverse-charge procedure where applicable.
  • Contract language. The contract language is English.
  • Severability. Should any provision of these Terms be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. The statutory provisions apply in place of any invalid provision.
